So, I have began to read The Talisman by (our favorite) Stephen King and Peter Straub (1984). It definitely has the language of the 80's. There is a sequel to this book called Black House, which was released much more recently, in 2001.
I am only a few chapters in, so the biggest thing I have to say is that it jumps inthttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifo another "world" making it feel a bit more like a dungeons and dragons style of book than a Stephen King book. So far, this aspect makes it interesting.
I have been told that it links back to the Dark Tower series in a very strong and unexpected way, which I am strongly looking forward to.

I am an AVID Stephen King fan....though I own the Talisman I have not read it...I have no excuse, DONT KNOW WHY.....:) ....I am current reading the 2nd book in the Dark Tower series "The Drawing Of The Three".....Once again, I have NO CLUE why I havent read the Dark Tower series either......I am enjoying them though, and if The Talisman links back to the Dark Tower series...then I am VERY glad I didnt read it before!! I just started following your blog and I am looking forward to keeping up with you on here :)
